Daysweep

Privacy architecture

Stored on your Mac. Processed by the AI you choose.

Daysweep keeps your open loops and settings locally. When the lamp is on, selected app-window snapshots are processed by your chosen AI provider so Daysweep can identify commitments and replies. Daysweep does not store your conversations on its servers.

What Daysweep looks at

Daysweep reads the communication windows you select on your Mac, and only while the lamp is on. It looks for commitments, replies, approvals, decisions and follow-ups. Windows you have not selected are not observed. Turning the lamp off stops observation entirely.

Screen snapshots

To read a window, Daysweep captures a snapshot of that window. macOS requires Screen Recording permission for this and displays its own indicator whenever a capture is happening. Daysweep cannot suppress that indicator. If you enable the optional WhatsApp Desktop connector, Daysweep reads the local WhatsApp database instead of a snapshot for that app, which requires Full Disk Access.

AI-provider processing

Selected app-window snapshots, or the text extracted from them, are sent to the AI provider you choose inside Daysweep so that open loops can be identified. That processing happens under your own provider account and is governed by that provider's terms, retention and usage limits. Daysweep does not claim zero retention on behalf of any provider.

What is stored, and where

Your open loops, their status, and your settings are stored locally on your Mac. Daysweep keeps only what is needed to explain why an item appears in your list. Your conversations are not stored on Daysweep servers.

Daysweep server boundaries

Daysweep servers are not part of the reading path. They are used for distributing the app and its updates. Your message content does not pass through them.

Telemetry

The website measures ordinary visit and download analytics. Any diagnostics in the pilot app are limited to technical information such as crashes and version numbers, and never include message content.

Retention and deletion

Snapshots are used for analysis and are not retained as an archive. Your local record stays until you remove it. Daysweep lets you export your record or delete local data at any time; because there is no server copy of your conversations, deleting locally removes the Daysweep record.

Permissions

Screen Recording is required to read selected windows. Accessibility is requested only if you enable the global shortcut. Notifications are requested only if you enable morning or evening notes. Full Disk Access is requested only for the optional WhatsApp connector. Each permission can be withdrawn in macOS System Settings.

What Daysweep never does

Daysweep does not send messages, reply, approve, pay or otherwise act on your behalf. It returns you to the original conversation. Daysweep makes no claim of end-to-end encryption, provider zero-retention, HIPAA or SOC 2 compliance.
